The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that on 18.06.2026, when the matter was called out, he had prayed for making necessary correction in the cause title of the respondent no.4 to the effect that in place of Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission, Patna, it should have been the Central Selection Board of Constable, Bihar, Patna through its

Patna High Court CWJC No.8058 of 2026 dt.22-06-2026 2/3 Chairman. Although the said permission was accorded to him to do the necessary correction during course of the day, but due to inadvertence, no order was recorded and the matter was passed over.

3. Accordingly, the correction made by the learned counsel for the petitioners on 18.06.2026 is accorded.

4. The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:

"1. That, this application is being filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or writs directing the respondents to appoint these petitioners on the post of constable in Bihar Police on the basis of result published for recruitment of the constable against Advertisement no.02 of 2009, in which these petitioners were shown as successful candidates after exhausting all the proceeding prescribed under the law."

AND / OR For passing such other order or orders for which the petitioners will be found entitled in the eye of law."

5. At the outset, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Central Selection Board of Constables, Bihar, Patna submits that similar matter bearing C.W.J.C. No.5684 of 2026 has already been dismissed by this Court vide order dated 20.04.2026, wherein also the matter related to Advertisement

Patna High Court CWJC No.8058 of 2026 dt.22-06-2026 3/3 No.02/2009, was under consideration.

6. Having considered the rival submissions and after going through the order dated 20.04.2026, passed in C.W.J.C. No.5684 of 2026 (Pappu Kumar Ram & Ors. vs. The State of Bihar & Ors.), this Court finds that the present case is similar to the case of Pappu Kumar Ram (supra). Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed in the same terms as recorded vide order dated 20.04.2026, passed in C.W.J.C. No.5684 of 2026. (Ritesh Kumar, J.)
