The petitioner has sought for a direction for release of bus bearing registration no. BR26F-2469 in favour of the petitioner which was seized by Sasaram Town Police for violation of the provisions contained in Sections 177, 179, 56/192 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, for which fine has already been deposited by the petitioner on 22.02.2020.

Patna High Court CWJC No.13520 of 2021(6) dt.11-04-2022 2/2 Initially a stand was taken before this Court that the said vehicle was untraceable, however, Mr. Lalit Kishore, learned Advocate General, has put in appearance today and has submited that the vehicle in question has been traced and shall be handed over to the petitioner at the earliest in any case not later than one week.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.

Needless to observe that if the vehicle is unduly damaged, the petitioner shall be at liberty to seek alternative remedy.
