The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Suiya P.S. Case No. 12 of 2022 for the offences under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the FIR, the informant has alleged that he got information that her daughter has suffered burn injuries, he immediately rushed to the place and took her to Deoghar Hospital. On the way, when he enquired from her daughter, she informed that this petitioner had ill-motive against her and as she protested, he poured kerosene oil and set her ablaze. She subsequently succumbed to her burn injury.
