Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 1002(c) of 2013 registered under sections 498A/307/34 of the I.P.C. and section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Accusation is that the petitioner, being the husband of the complainant, made demand of cash and motorcycle after marriage and in spite of giving cash by the father of the complainant, she was being tortured and attempt was also made to set ablaze after pouring kerosene oil.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner, who happens to be the husband of the complainant, has falsely been implicated in this case by his wife Anita Devi due to misunderstanding. It is also submitted that

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.46809 of 2014 (2) dt.04-02-2015 2/2 petitioner is in custody since 28.06.2014.

Under the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of S.D.J.M., Bettiah, District- West Champaran in connection with Complaint Case No. 1002(c) of 2013.
