Prayer for bail of this appellant was earlier rejected by this court vide order dated 28.06.2021 passed in Cr. Appeal No. 2866 of 2021.

The trial court report reveals that the defence witness has been closed and the case is fixed for argument. Considering the nature of accusation, gravity of the offence and progress of the trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the appellant on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected. However, since the appellant is in custody since 07.08.2020, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably, within six months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
