The instant application for regular bail has been filed by the petitioner in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 811 of 2023 instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 18, 20, 22 of the N.D.P.S. Act.

Earlier the application for regular bail of the petitioner was rejected by order dated 09.02.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 79315 of 2023 with an observation to learned trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same as soon as possible.

In pursuance to the direction of this Court, a

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36459 of 2024(3) dt.25-06-2024 2/2 report, dated 29.05.2024, with regard to present stage of trial has been received and the same is kept at flag 'A'. From its perusal it appears that the trial may be concluded within a period of 9 months.

No fresh ground is made for reconsideration of the regular bail of the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for grant of regular bail is rejected.

Accordingly, petition stands disposed off.

However, learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within 6 months., failing which, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer of bail.
