The petitioner seeks bail in Ghorasahan P.S. Case No. 228/13 registered for the offence under Section under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c), 23(c) and 29 of the N.D.P.S Act. The prayer for the bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected vide order dated 06.03.2014.

Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in jail since 16.06.2013. The petitioner has already remained in jail for more than one and half year, but the trial has not yet been concluded. Since commercial quantity of Narcotic substance was recovered, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly the same is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.47368 of 2014 (3) dt.20-03-2015 2/2 the same within one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. The S.P., East Champaran, Motihari is directed to produce the witnesses in Court on day-to-day basis, so that the trial must be concluded within a year.
