The petitioner is languishing in custody since 11.12.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

It is alleged that seven accused persons including the petitioner came to take possession of the land of the informant when on the order of the accused persons, husband of the petitioner namely Pramod Mehta shot on the chest of the brother of the informant namely Ram Nandan who succumbed to the injury. It is alleged against this petitioner that she caught hold of the waist of the informant.
