This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offences under Sections 7, 13(2) read with 13(1)(D) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The petitioner is the Circle Officer, Rajpur Block, Buxar, and has been apprehended while receiving bribe money of Rs.15,000/-.
The petitioner is in custody since 28.10.2016 and it has been informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that charge has already been framed against the petitioner and the trial is going on.
The learned counsel for the Vigilance opposed the prayer for bail.
Considering the fact, especially, the period already undergone, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.53102 of 2016 (7) dt.21-03-2017 2/2 Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Special Case No. 63 of 2016 arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 115 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the Special Judge, Vigilance, I, Patna, or successor Court with the condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the Court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
