2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 7 of P.C. Act and Section 308 of B.N.S.
3. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that the petitioner along with other co-accused persons were caught red handed while accepting the bribe of Rs. 5000/- from the complainant for re-connection and installation of new meter.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. The allegation as alleged in the F.I.R. is

The informant has alleged that the petitioner has demanded Rs.12,000/- from the complainant /informant to install the electricity connection and thereafter, the informant has informed the Vigilance and thereafter, raid was conducted and petitioner was arrested with Rs. 5,000/-. It has further been submitted that the Vigilance, after investigation submitted the chargesheet against the petitioner and the petitioner is not required to be more in judicial custody. He is having no criminal antecedent. It has further been submitted that similarly situated co-accused Nishant Kumar has already been granted bail by learned Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide Cr. Misc. No. 28084 of 2026. Moreover, petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 08.01.2026
5. Learned APP appearing for the State and learned counsel for the Vigilance have vehemently opposed the application for bail.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special
