The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Ben Police Station Case No. 105 of 2020, dated 11.07.2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 420 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32967 of 2020(2) dt.03-03-2021 2/3 Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. Four vehicles were intercepted from where a total of 685.58 litres of liquor has been recovered. The petitioner is not connected with any one of the vehicles from where recovery has been made. He is a person of clean antecedents. The only accusation against him is that the police had received secret information that the petitioner had placed orders for such liquor and was about to unload the same from the said vehicles.

Regard being had to the facts afore-stated and taking into account that the petitioner does not have criminal antecedents, he, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of eight weeks, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 3rd Addl. District and Sessions Judge-Cum-Special Judge, Excise, Nalanda at
