In these matters the widows of the employees of the Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara have approached this Court for payment of death-cum-retiral dues or benefits of their respective deceased husbands which have not been paid till date.
4 / 4 Learned counsel appearing for the Veer Kunwar Singh University submits on instruction that certain amounts have already been paid to some of the petitioners and other dues would be paid within a period of two months after necessary calculation. On such statement being made on instruction, this Court would be inclined to dispose of all these writ petitions directing the university authorities to make necessary calculation of the admissible dues along with statutory interest, if any, and ensure its payment within a period of two months to all the petitioners. It is made clear that if certain amounts are to be paid along with the statutory interest and that is lying in the account of the university but could not be paid to the petitioner then the interest earned upon such amount should also be paid to the petitioners.
