JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 25-11-2024 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. 2.Writ petition has been filed for directing/commanding the respondent authorities to make the payment of arrears of difference of Salary of the petitioner for the period from March 1997 till December' 2015. Petitioner is further praying for payment of arrears of difference of salary for the period from March' 1997 to December 2015 with penal interest @ 18% per annum from the date it became

Patna High Court CWJC No.7948 of 2023(2) dt.25-11-2024 2/2 due till the date of actual payment.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already filed representations before the University along with his calculation of difference of arrears of salary. However, petitioner may be given liberty to file fresh representation before respondent no. 5 for redressal of his grievance.

4. In view of the nature of prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, let the petitioner file fresh application before respondent no.5 within a period of six weeks from today.

5. In the event, if such application is filed within the said stipulated period, respondent no.5 shall look into the matter and dispose of the same by a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law after hearing the parties, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the application.

6. Writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid directions.
