The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Bhagwan Bazar P.S. Case No. 256 of 2019 registered for the offences under Sections 498(A), 379, 232, 406 and 494/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The allegation is of torture and demand of dowry against the petitioner.

Initially, the petitioner has tried to convince this Court that he wants to settle the dispute but today the petitioner has taken a different stand.

In view of the allegations levelled against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to

Petitioner is directed to surrender in the court below within two weeks from today.
