The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That, this Writ application is being filed for issuance of an appropriate Writ/ Order/ Direction, particularly a Writ in the nature of Mandamus, for commanding and directing the respondent- authorities to make payment of dues amount to the petitioners, for the work done by them as Seasonal Labourer from 1992 to 1997 in Motipur Sugar Factory

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, including that of filing a suit before the learned civil court of competent jurisdiction. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
