The petitioner has been arrested in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 167 of 2013 registered under Sections 302, 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code.

There is allegation against the petitioner that wife of the brother of the petitioner has disclosed that the petitioner went along with deceased to meet the call of nature in the late night at about 10.00 a.m. and returned without his wife and on query he disclosed that he has killed his wife. The postmortem report also suggests that cause of death is strangulation. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial. (Gopal Prasad, J) sushma/- U T
