Petitioner is languishing in custody since 26.08.2014 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

It is alleged that petitioner being Assistant Consolidation Officer demanded Rs. 12,000/- for passing order of mutation in favour of the complainant on the basis of forged sale deeds. The petitioner was subsequently trapped while accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 4,000/-. Considering the fact that investigation has already concluded, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.48051 of 2014 (4) dt.10-04-2015 2/2 learned Special Judge, Vigilance(Trap), Patna in connection with Special Case No. 58 of 2014, arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 54 of 2014.

The bail bonds of the petitioner shall be cancelled by learned Court below, if the petitioner defaults for two consecutive occasions during trial.
