The petitioner seeks bail in Maheshkhunt P.S. Case No. 63 of 2010, corresponding to Sessions Trial No. 282 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The grand-father of the deceased alleged that the petitioner burnt his grand daughter to death. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the course of investigation the witnesses have stated that the husband of the deceased living in Karnal, but the petitioner and other family members did not allow her to go along with her husband that is why the deceased committed suicide. It appears that the husband of the deceased was living in

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.48505 of 2014 (3) dt.15-04-2015 2/2 Karnal for earning his livelihood. The petitioner, his wife and his daughter were not allowing the deceased to go along with her husband. The witnesses have stated that there was quarrelling. The deceased died due to burn injuries within two years of her marriage.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.

However, the trial court directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
