The petitioners, Kaushalya Devi and Ram Shrestha Das, seek bail in Bathnaha P.S. Case No. 81 of 2014 under Sections 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The father of the deceased made allegation that his daughter was married to Nagendra Das, son of the petitioner, about two years ago, but her husband started torturing her due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. It is submitted that the petitioners are mother-in-law and father-in-law of the deceased. No specific allegations, either of demand of dowry or torture, is made against the petitioners and the petitioners did not subject the deceased to any sort of torture. The petitioners are in jail since 16.07.2014.

No.47786 of 2014 (4) dt.20-04-2015 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegations made against the petitioners and the fact that the petitioners are mother-in-law and father-in-law of the deceased, the above named petitioners are directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi in Bathnaha P.S. Case No. 81/2014.
