Mr.Sanjay Kumar @ S.K., Advocate For the Opposite Party/s :

Mr. Nand Kumar, APP ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 25-01-2022 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Sessions Trial No. 93 of 2020 arising out of Aurai P.S. Case No. 12 of 1995 for the offence registered under Sections 25(1-b), 26, 27 and 35 of the Arms Act, Sections 3⁄4 of the Explosive Substance Act and Section 414 of the Indian Penal Code. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the learned trial court be directed to expedite the trial.

This Court finds that the present case is of the year 1995 and the petitioner was declared absconder since 26.09.2016, whereafter he was arrested belatedly and is in custody since 17.01.2020. It is also a matter of record that the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.43532 of 2021(3) dt.25-01-2022 2/2 petitioner is an accused in several other cases. In such view of the matter, it would be in the interest of justice, if the trial is completed rather than granting bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed off as not pressed, however, with a direction to the learned trial court to expedite the trial.
