Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submits that the name of the petitioner was not included in the list of 744 candidates who failed to produce the relevant certificates at the time of certificate verification and as such, non-consideration of the case of the petitioner is illegal and arbitrary exercise
Patna High Court CWJC No.15255 of 2018(3) dt.24-03-2021 2/3 of power.
Mr. Sanjay Pandey, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Central Selection Board (Police Recruitment), Bihar would submits that petitioner has not produced the certificate that he is the progeny of a freedom fighter and as such, there was absolutely no infirmity in the decision of the respondents in not considering the claim of the petitioner against 2 percent quota reserved for the progeny of freedom fighters. He further submits that thereafter the petitioner, who claims to have belonged to B.C category, has been considered for B.C category but he has also not secured the minimum cut-off marks in the B.C. category.
Considering the fact that petitioner has produced only the identity card of a freedom fighter and not the certificate which is one of the criterion for selection under the category of progeny of freedom fighters, this Court does not find any merit in the claim of the petitioner.
Patna High Court CWJC No.15255 of 2018(3) dt.24-03-2021 3/3 The writ petition stands dismissed.
