2. The petitioner who superannuated from the post of Head Assistant, Jai Prakash Mahila College, Chapra on 31.03.2013 has filed the writ petition seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities to ensure payment of arrears under

Patna High Court CWJC No.8249 of 2023(4) dt.05-12-2023 2/2 Group Insurance Scheme by calculating interest at the rate of 12.5% compound interest per annum.

Mr. Verma, learned counsel for the university, on the instruction received by the university submits at the Bar that so far the grievance with regard to the interest at the rate of 12.5% over the Group Insurance amount is concerned, the same has already been paid to the petitioner. In support of his contention, a statement of fact containing signature of Finance Officer dated 10.11.2023, showing payment of an amount of Rs. 1,93,130/-, which includes the 12.5% compound interest is placed on record.

4. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the counsel for the university, the present writ petition stands disposed off.

5. It is needless to observe that if the petitioner has still any grievance with regard to the interest over the G.P.F. amount, he shall be at liberty to file an appropriate representation before the Registrar of the Jai Prakash University who shall consider the same and dispose.
