The petitioners seek bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A & 494/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioners who happens to be parents-in-law of the informant are said to have tormented her over dowry demand in association of their family members.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that no such occurrence as alleged ever took place. The petitioners have committed no offence and have no concern with the aforesaid occurrence. They have been falsely implicated in this

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.33302 of 2019(2) dt.21-05-2019 2/2 case. The entire allegation of making of dowry demand and of having illicit relation with his sister-in-law is against the husband of the informant. The allegation of tormenting the deceased over the said demand levelled against the petitioners is not specific rather general and omnibus in nature. Petitioners happen to be parents-in-law of the informant and have been languishing in custody since 12.03.2019.

Learned APP for the State opposed the bail petition. Considering the facts aforesaid, the above named petitioners are directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Banka in connection with Banka Mahila P.S.
