JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 10-01-2020 The petitioner was indented to supply certain articles to Sub Jail Patna City and Beur Jail, Patna for the year 2010-11, which materials were actually supplied. However, the bill of the aforesaid supply to the tune of Rs. 6,50,072/- has not been paid.

When a legal notice was served upon the respondent no. 2, the petitioner was informed that the papers of the petitioner have been forwarded to the head office of the National Cooperative Consumer's Federation

The supply appears to have been made in the year 2011 but till date, without there being any objection on the bill amount, same has not been paid to him. The petitioner ought not to be allowed to wait for eternity for clearance of his bill when there is no objection to any articles of supply or with respect to contents of the bill.

Under the aforesaid circumstances, this Court directs the respondent no. 2 to seek necessary direction from the head office and communicate to the petitioner the outcome of the aforesaid direction. In case, the bills are cleared by the head office, necessary sequel order of releasing the payment to the petitioner shall be made. If there is any dispute with respect to the bill amount or on any aspect of the claim of the petitioner, that shall also be made known to the petitioner forthwith.
