This application for regular bail arises out of Keoti P.S. Case No. 75 of 2020, disclosing the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 326-A, 307, 436, 134 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner's prayer for regular bail was earlier rejected by an order of this Court dated 08.02.2021, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 35186 of 2020, considering the direct allegation against the petitioner of having poured acid on the person of the informant causing burn injuries. The said allegation is supported by the injury report, as is evident from the case diary. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that there is no eye-witness other than the

Be that as it may, considering the direct allegation against the petitioner of having poured acid, which is corroborated by the injury report, I am not inclined to reconsider the petitioner's prayer for grant of regular bail. This application is accordingly rejected.

The petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after six months if, in the meanwhile, there is no substantial progress at the trial.
