Learned counsel for the respondents at the outset has pointed out that when this writ application was filed on 22.2.2000 the petitioner's appeal against the impugned order of punishment was pending which infact got disposed of on 28.6.2000. He has also submitted that the petitioner has a statutory remedy against such an appellate order by way of revision.

In that view of the matter, this writ application is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file his revision application within a period of 90 days from today and if such a revision application is filed, the revisional authority shall examine all the aspects particularly the plea of the petitioner of being

Patna High Court CWJC No.1976 of 2000 (4) dt.01-04-2015 absent from duty on account of illness of his wife, which was duly supported by documentary evidence.

With the aforementioned observation and direction, this application is disposed of.
