BAJANTHRI ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 02-02-2022 This matter is heard via video conferencing due to circumstances prevailing on account of the COVID-19 Pandemic. In the instant petition, petitioner has prayed for the following relief(s):- "(i) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ of the like nature thereby directing the respondent authorities particularly respondents no. 2 and 3 to call the petitioner for appointment to the post of Junior Engineer for which the petitioner has qualified and consequently to

(ii) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus or a writ of mandamus or any other writ of the like nature thereby directing the respondents to keep one seat reserved for the petitioner and to fill that seat subject to outcome of this case.
(iii) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus or a writ of mandamus or any other writ of the like nature thereby directing the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner who holds a degree awarded by the State Technical Education Board, Bihar as having had passed from an institution within the State of Bihar and accordingly accord all the benefits of having entitled to such candidate.
(iv) For grant of any other relief as this Hon'ble Court may deem appropriate in light of the facts and circumstances of this case."
For grant of the aforesaid relief the process of recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer should have been at the stage of publication of final select list. Undisputedly, petitioner submitted that final select list has not been notified. His grievance is that degree obtained in the Jharkhand State is required to be taken note off for process of selection and appointment to the post of Junior Engineer. If it is so, necessary representation followed by appropriate prayer should have been made in present petition.
