The present writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus for commanding the respondents especially Respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to make necessary correction in the Part No.198, 199 and 200 of the Legislative Assembly voter List of 2025 of Constituency No. 132 (Waris Nagar, General) and Lok Sabha Constituency No. 23 Samastipur- Schedule Caste.

3. At the outset, learned counsel for the respondentElection Commission of India raised objection with regard to

Patna High Court CWJC No.8994 of 2025(2) dt.11-07-2025 2/2 the maintainability of the present writ application on the ground that the relief which has been claimed by the petitioner on behalf of himself and also on behalf of others can very well be addressed if the petitioner takes appropriate steps under the Registration of Electoral Rule, 1960.

In response to the aforesaid objections raised by the learned counsel for the respondent-Election Commission of India, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present writ application may be disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate steps under the Registration of Electoral Rule, 1960.

5. Under the aforesaid circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate steps under the Registration of Electoral Rule, 1960 for claiming the relief as claimed for in the present writ application.

6. With the aforesaid observation/direction, the writ application is disposed of. Pending interlocutory applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
