Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 20 and 23 of the NDPS Act. Allegation is recovery of six packets of Charas amounting to 109.25 kg. valued at 2 crores 73 lakhs from the concealed cavity of the truck in which petitioner and driver were sitting.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. Petitioner is in custody since 25.12.2018.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also in view of the fact that there being recovery of huge

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. However, the court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within one year from the date of receipt of the order.
