Aggrieved with the inaction of the respondents in not extending the retiral benefits and arrears of salary on the ground of pending pay verification by the State of Bihar, Department of Education, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction upon the concerned respondents to ensure payment of outstanding dues including Provident Fund

Patna High Court CWJC No.8822 of 2023 dt.23-06-2026 2/3 amount, revised earned leave, revised gratuity and for arrears of salary.

Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent nos. 1 to 3, it is submitted that the Pay Verification Cell of the Education Department has issued pay slip and accordingly an amount of Rs.4,86,490/- has been paid to the petitioner through the Principal, Ramlakhan Singh Yadav College, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna.

4. Learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that, in the absence of any statement of account under which the amount has been paid, the petitioner is facing difficulty in ascertaining whether the entire outstanding dues have been paid under the respective heads or not.

5. Considering the submissions advanced by the learned Advocates for the respective parties and the averments made in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of respondent nos. 1 to 3, this Court does not find any reason to keep the writ petition pending and accordingly the same stands disposed off.

6. However, if the petitioner is still aggrieved with respect to non-payment of any outstanding dues under any head, he shall be at liberty to move before the Registrar of the concerned University for redressal of his grievance.

7. With the aforesaid observations and liberty, the present writ petition stands closed.
