2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Kochadhaman P.S. Case No. 89 of 2023, lodged on 30.03.2023 under Sections 341, 323, 504, 420, 376 and 354 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offenses Act, 2012, pending before the learned CJM, Kishanganj.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the prayer for bail of the petitioner has earlier been rejected vide order dated 06.09.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 44217 of 2023.

4. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that on earlier occasion progress report of the case has been called for.

5. Upon perusal of the status report, it transpires to this Court that out of 10 witnesses, 6 witnesses have already been examined and only 4 witnesses including the victim and official witnesses are left to be examined.

6. In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. As such, the bail application of the petitioner is hereby rejected for the present.

7. However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.
