JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 22-12-2016 Heard Mr. Dhananjay Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Anand Kumar Ojha, learned counsel for the respondents. The grievance of the petitioner is that although he has filed his application for grant of electricity connection on 27.9.2013 but the connection is yet to be provided to him. Mr. Mishra has drawn my attention to the receipts present at Annexures-2 and 3 to submit that the matter remains pending for the last three years and even the representation to the Electrical Executive Engineer, Samastipur has not made any change.
Mr. Ojha learned counsel for the respondents, submits that in case there would be no impediment to the prayer made by the

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the nature of the grievance raised herein I deem it fit and proper to direct the respondent No.4 the Executive Engineer, Electrical Supply Division(Rural), Samastipur to consider the grievance of the petitioner and in case there are no legal impediments in the way of the petitioner to obtain the electricity connection for which the application has been filed as back as on 27.9.2013, then the same be provided to him within four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
Considering that the petitioner is aged 72 years, in case the application of the petitioner is found wanting on any respect, the Executive Engineer, respondent No.4, shall accordingly direct the petitioner to complete the formalities. In case for any reason, the prayer made by the petitioner is not acceptable, the same be disposed of by a speaking order.
The writ petition is disposed of.
