The petitioners seek bail in connection with Excise Case No. 685 of 2020 dated 07.08.2020, instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. It has been alleged that 57.9 litres of liquor was recovered from the possession of the petitioners. The petitioners claim that the recovery has wrongly been saddled upon them.

They are persons of clean antecedents and are

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No. 32431 of 2020(2) dt.07-12-2020 2/2 in custody since 07.08.2020.

Regard being had to the afore-stated facts, viz, the period of custody and they are being the persons of clean antecedents, they are directed to be released on bail on their furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District Judge - VII-cum-Special Judge Excise, Aurangabad, in connection with Excise Case No. 685 of 2020.

The application stands allowed.
