====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 14-12-2020 Heard Mr. Rama Kant Sharma, learned senior Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Arvind Kumar, for the Vigilance Department.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Case No. 10 of 2020, arising out of Vigilance P. S. Case No. 11 of 2020 dated 19.06.2020, instituted for the offence under Section 7 (a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The petitioner is a Clerk in the office of the Civil Surgeon who is said to have demanded and taken a bribe of Rs. 30,000/- for the posting of the complainant who is a Doctor in a Primary Health Centre.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32470 of 2020(3) dt.14-12-2020 2/2 The learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 21.06.2020 and seeks bail on that ground.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Vigilance, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 10 of 2020, arising out of Vigilance P. S. Case No. 11 of 2020.

The petition stands allowed.
