2. The petitioner, who superannuated from the post of Professor-cum-Head of the Department (Physics) from Jai Prakash University, Chapra on 31.07.2016, is aggrieved with the action of the respondents in not extending the outstanding dues of the petitioner. Hence the present writ petition.

3. After some argument, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that for payment of outstanding dues of

Patna High Court CWJC No.8831 of 2023 dt.23-06-2026 2/3 Group Insurance along with 12.5% compound interest, the petitioner has already approached before the Registrar, Jai Prakash University, Chapra whereas for payment of differential arrears of pay and allowances for the period admissible between 08.08.1979 and October, 1992, till creation of Jai Prakash University, Chapra, he also filed application before the Registrar, B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur.

Considering the fact that for redressal of the grievance, the petitioner has already filed a detailed representations before the University, which are kept on record as Annexures- 2 and 3, this Court instead of keeping the matter pending, deems it apt and proper to dispose of the same with a direction to the Registrar, Jai Prakash University, Chapra as well as Registrar, B.R.A., Bihar University to look into the claim of the petitioner and pass a reasoned and speaking order.

5. In case, the claim of the petitioner finds favour, necessary consequential monetary benefits shall also be accorded to him.

6. It is expected that the entire exercise must be completed by the concerned authority preferably within a period of eight weeks from date the of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
