1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That petitioner invokes the Jurisdiction of this High Court for issuance of appropriate writ/ writs in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondent authorities to grant the license of DBBL Gun to the petitioner as the safety of life and property. Which is pending in the Office of respondent no. 2 with DBBL Gun, all necessary enquiry and report."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to the order of this Court dated 24.11.2023, the petitioner has already filed a fresh application for grant of arms license, which is pending adjudication, before

Patna High Court CWJC No.8769 of 2023(6) dt.25-06-2024 2/2 the District Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara, hence the same be directed to be disposed off.

3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license shall definitely be disposed off, within a fixed time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
