The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No.1383 of 2021, corresponding to Trial No.2933 of 2022, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner and other co-accused persons are said to have tortured the complainant physically and mentally for non-fulfillment of demand of additional dowry. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. It is submitted that the petitioners have got no

Learned APP for the State as well as learned counsel for O.P. No.2 opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner and submitted that there is specific allegation against the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
