2. It is submitted by the counsel for the petitioner that husband of the petitioner, Late Raj Kumar Singh was posted as SWO at P.N.B Jalalpur (District Patna) Branch. During services he died in harness on 09.07.2021, being the widow of the deceased (Raj Kumar Singh), the petitioner made her application for grant of compassionate appointment vide Annexure P-3 and subsequently, she also filed the application in proforma on 27.10.2024 which is annexed with the petition, however, the respondent - bank has not taken any decision yet. Therefore, it is prayed by the counsel that this petition may be disposed of, directing the respondent - bank to consider and

Patna High Court CWJC No.9004 of 2024(2) dt.10-02-2025 2/2 decide the application for grant of compassionate appointment submitted by the petitioner within any specific period fixed by this Court.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent - bank opposes the argument raised by the counsel for the petitioner. He submits that since there are so many other claimants, therefore, candidature of the petitioner is liable to be inquired. He further submits that application has been filed by the petitioner after three years of the death of her husband. However, he submits that if this Court directs then the concerned authorities will consider and decide the pending application of the petitioner within four months.

On the basis of submissions made by both the counsels the petition is disposed of, respondents are directed to consider and decide the application of the petitioner dated 27.10.2024 for grant of compassionate appointment as early as possible probably within four months from today and pass a reasoned order in accordance with relevant rules and laws.

5. With the aforesaid observation, this writ petition is disposed of.
