The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is dilly dally in disposal of the application for grant of arms license.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has initially filed application for grant of license of N.P. Bore Revolver/Pistol License in the year 2011. The application of arms license is still pending and during the pendency of the arms application the petitioner came to know

Patna High Court CWJC No.11025 of 2019(2) dt.16-05-2019 2/2 that on 15.7.2016, Rule 2016 came into existence and in terms of 2016 rules the petitioner has to file to apply new format Form-AI alongwith requisite fee of Rs.1,000/-. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that application in prescribed format Form-A1 after coming into force the 2016 Rule yet the District Magistrate, Patna is sat tight over the matter.

Considering the aforesaid, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Patna to take appropriate decision on the pending application of the petitioner preferably within a period of 60 days after the general election in the light of the 2016 Rules and the judgment of the Division Bench in State of Bihar and Ors. Vs. Deepak Kumar (LPA No. 758 of 2018) reported in 2019(1) PLJR 664. With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
