JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 15-02-2016 The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to make payment of the amount to the petitioner with statutory as well as penal interest, which is lying in the account of late husband of the petitioner, namely, Shri Banke Lal Ray (account no. 11445941123 State Bank of India, Mahnar Branch, District Vaishali.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that an amount of Rs. 10,872/- was lying in Account No. 11445941123 of the petitioner's husband at the time of his death on 26.06.2010 but despite the petitioner furnished the requisite documents, payment of the same with interest has not been made to her. Several representations including the Legal Notice for payment of the amount in question with interest have not yielded any result.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent-Bank appears and

Patna High Court CWJC No.5017 of 2014 dt.15-02-2016 2/2 submits that there is no objection, in principle, in making payment to the petitioner, which is, however, pending only owing to completion of some paper formalities.

Having regard to the stands of the parties, the writ petition is disposed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Mahnar Branch, District Vaishali within a period of two weeks from today for completion of requisite formalities. Payment of the entire amount along with up-todate interest at the applicable rate shall be made to the petitioner within one week of such formalities being completed. (Vikash Jain, J) B.T/- U
