JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 02-11-2022 The short prayer of the petitioner in the present writ petition is to direct the Circle Officer, Harsidhi, District-East Champaran at Motihari to conclude the proceedings of the ongoing Encroachment Case No. 22 of 2018-19 within a stipulated time frame.

The learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted that in case the proceedings of the said Encroachment Case has not yet been concluded, the same shall definitely be concluded within a stipulated time frame.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the Circle Officer, Harsidhi to dispose off the aforesaid Encroachment Case No. 22 of 2018-19 by passing the final order under Section 6(1) of the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956, in accordance with law and after hearing the affected parties, within a period of twelve weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
