2. The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 20 and 22 of the N.D.P.S. Act.

3. Earlier prayer of grant of regular bail of the petitioner was rejected by order dated 7.11.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 48506 of 2023 with a direction to trial court to conclude the trial as soon as possible.

4. In compliance of order dated 25.6.2024, a progress report dated 5.7.2024 has been received from which it appears that out of 12 chargesheeted witnesses, only eight witnesses have been examined and four are yet to be examined and it will take six months to conclude the trial.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that trial has not been concluded as yet. He further submits that petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 3.5.2023.

6. In that view of the matter, this application stands disposed off.

7. The learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within a period of four months positively, failing which, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail. (Sunil Kumar Panwar, J) sushma/- U
