Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within a period of four weeks from today.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Tajpur P.S. Case No. 576 of 2022 registered for the offence under Sections 25(1-b)(a), 26, 27 and 35 of the Arms Act. As per prosecution case, some miscreants committed theft in Fancy Jewellery Shop and they were caught by the mob. The informant went to the place and took them into police custody and one of them was alleged to be the petitioner and on search one country made pistol loaded magazine, one live bullet and three pieces of golden ring, one chain were recovered.

No.35360 of 2023(2) dt.12-07-2023 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 01.12.2022 and the petitioner is quite innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and has submitted that this petitioner has three criminal antecedent.

Considering the criminal antecedents of the petitioner and the allegations levelled against him, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

This application stands rejected.

The Court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner.
