This application for regular bail arises out of Goh P.S. Case No. 181 of 2020, disclosing the offence punishable under Sections 8/20(b)(ii)(B)/25/29 of the Indian Penal Code. By making this application, the petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail, which was earlier rejected, taking into account his criminal antecedent. It is not in dispute that the petitioner is facing criminal prosecution in four other cases all relating to the offences punishable under the provisions of the NDPS Act.

In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to accede to the prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail despite the

In the facts and circumstances, however, it is expected that the trial court shall take all possible measures to expeditiously conclude the trial.
