2. This application has been filed for direction to the respondents especially respondent no. 3 to consider the application for grant of Arms License pursuant to the application dated 11.09.2019.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is running before the authorities since 2015 for grant of license. He was advised to file a fresh application as per the new rules which has already been done by the petitioner.

4. If a citizen files an application for grant of

Patna High Court CWJC No.8391 of 2023(2) dt.23-11-2023 2/3 license, it should be considered by the concerned authority. Non consideration of the application by the authorities causes injustice to the citizens.

5. The petitioner is directed to file a fresh application before the authority as the new rules for grant of license have come and the application of the petitioner shall be considered and finally decided by the respondents within six months from the date of filing of the application.

6. While considering the arms license of the petitioner, the District Magistrate, Aurangabad will examine the fact that the petitioner was shot at by the criminals and he was also assaulted.

7. The District Magistrate, Aurangabad is directed to dispose of all the pending applications of arms license within six months from the date of communication of this order.

8. The District Magistrate, Aurangabad will start this exercise and will initially dispose of the old applications and thereafter all the pending applications must be disposed of within six months.

9. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the District Magistrate, Aurangabad through FAX for its compliance forthwith.
