Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within two weeks of the complete start of the physical Court in normal course.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Motipur P.S. Case No. 258 of 2017 for the offence punishable under Sections 304A/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Petitioner is the husband of the deceased. Allegation is of committing murder and demanding dowry. For nonfulfillment of the same, within six years of marriage, allegedly the petitioner committed murder of his wife.

Considering the serious nature of allegation made

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.44738 of 2021(5) dt.11-04-2022 2/2 against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage.

Accordingly, the present bail application is rejected. Considering the forceful submission made by Shri Choudhary Shyam Nandan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, this Court directs the court below to conclude the trial expeditiously well within a period of six months. If no substantial progress takes place in conduct of the trial within the aforesaid period, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail.
