The present writ petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for issuance of a direction to the respondent authorities to permit the petitioner to participate in the interview for the post of Lecturer of the Health and Physical Education for the training college, after fixing a fresh date for his interview, since the petitioner has qualified the written examination but he

Patna High Court CWJC No.404 of 2021(3) dt.27-04-2022 2/3 has not been permitted to participate in the interview due to delay approached at the interview centre.

The petitioner has applied for the post of Lecturer of Health and Physical Education for Government Training College against the Advertisement No. 3/2016. The petitioner had participated in the written examination. The result of written examination was published wherein the petitioner was declared to be a successful candidate for the interview. The petitioner received the interview letter wherein he was called for interview in the office of Bihar Public Service Commission on 24.06.2020 at about 10.30 A.M. but due to Covid-19 lockdown, the petitioner could not arrive at the interview centre on time as such he was not permitted to participate in the interview whereas some other candidates appeared. Thereafter, the results were published and the process of appointment had come to an end.

Taking into account that the process of appointment has already been completed, further reopening of the entire process of appointment for the petitioner cannot be permitted. Hence, the petitioner cannot be allowed for fresh interview. In the said circumstances, the relief sought for in the present writ petition cannot be entertained.
