Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within two weeks of the complete start of the physical Court in normal course.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Munger (Muffasil) P.S. Case No. 8 of 2021 for the offence punishable under Section 364 of the Indian Penal Code. Later on Sections 302, 201 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code were added.

Allegation against the petitioner and other co-accused is that they took the son of the informant along with them and thereafter the son of the informant could not return back. The

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.44620 of 2021(3) dt.21-03-2022 2/2 name of the petitioner has surfaced in the confessional statement of one Ravish Kumar and the petitioner has also admitted his guilt in his confession.

Considering the serious nature of allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the present bail application is rejected. The trial court is directed to conclude the trial well within a period of 15 months.

If no substantial progress takes place in the trial within the aforesaid period, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail.
