1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) For quashing the notice dated 18.02.2023, issued by the respondent no.7 (as contained in Annexure-11) in Encroachment Case No.06/2016-17 whereby and whereunder petitioner has been directed to remove the encroachment from the land situated in Mauja Fadarpur, Block Rafiganj, DistrictAurangabad, bearing Khata No.270, Khesra No.1997, Thana No.460, which is bad and illegal.

(ii) For direction to the respondents to settle

Patna High Court CWJC No.8800 of 2023(4) dt.28-06-2024 2/2 the land on which petitioner and his ancestor have been residing since 1962 as landless persons and comes within the policy decision of the State Government issued by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Government of Bihar, Patna vide resolution no.153 dated 09.02.2015."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the District Magistrate, Aurangabad, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. It is needless to state that in case appropriate petition is filed by the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from today, the District Magistrate, Aurangabad, shall examine the same, in accordance with law and take appropriate action, forthwith.

4. The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
