2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bhawanipur P.S. Case No. 137 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 80(2) and 103(1) of the B.N.S.
3. The allegation is that the informant had given his daughter in marriage to Indrajeet Mandal about five years prior to the incident. After having two sons, she was allegedly subjected to dowry-related torture for a sum of Rs. 50,000. On 15.07.2024, she was found dead at her matrimonial home. The informant suspects that her husband assaulted and strangled her. The cause of death has been found to be asphyxia on account of throttling.

4. The petitioner is the husband of the deceased. Given that the cause of death has been determined to be asphyxia on account of throttling, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
6. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case and shall not influence the trial or any other proceedings in any manner.
